Static delivery
CSS and the favicon are served with cache headers so you can confirm edge caching, compression and TLS termination behave as configured.
Origin: EdgeDemo application
A small site with real requests to inspect.
Three pages, one flat-file login, and no database. Point a hostname at it, put Akamai in front, and you have something concrete to test delivery, caching, WAF policy and bot controls against.
Form POSTs
Login and register are ordinary application/x-www-form-urlencoded POSTs — useful for
exercising WAF rules, rate controls and POST body inspection.
Session cookies
A signed session cookie is set on successful login, so cookie handling, session affinity and cache bypass on authenticated pages are all observable.
Health endpoint
GET /healthz returns JSON with a 200. Handy as an origin health check or a
lightweight target for synthetic monitoring.
